Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by helicopter is the finest choice from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, stay overnight in Nepalgunj. From here, we fly to Simikot, after some Immigration formalities, we fly to Hilsa, Nepal – Tibet border. After the immigration process of Tibet, we drive to Taklakot, where we spend a night for the acclimatization before we proceed to Tibet, and make entry to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra (200 km).

Detail Itenerary


Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m), on the day of arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), our staff from the office welcomes you and takes you to the hotel. We provide you information on the Kailash trip which is required and spend overnight at the hotel.

Before we take flight to Nepalgung (150m), we do half-day sightseeing in some important places in Kathmandu, they are 1. Pashupatinath temple 2. Mata Guheswori temple & 3. Budhanilkantha temple, after sightseeing we return to the hotel for lunch. Then, just after lunch, we will fly to Nepalgung, which takes an hour; and we do the check-in at the hotel.
We fly from Nepalgunj to Simikot (2910m) and overnight in Simikot
This day will fly to Hilsa by Helicopter sharing, from Hilsa we drive to Taklakot (4025m). we stay overnight at the guest house at Simikot, a hill with amazing beauty at an altitude of 2910 m, which is an entrance for Kailash tour by helicopter. Before we make access, we do Cross Nepal - Tibet border, which is an immigration procedure between Nepal and Tibet. Once the procedure is over, we fly 25 minutes, where 10 kg bags for each person is allowed. We drive 27 km to Taklakot, where we stay overnight for body acclimatization as it is high altitude range.
We do Acclimatization the whole day at Taklakot, if we feel some extra activities needed – physical and mental then we do yoga and meditation.
In the morning, after breakfast we start drive to one of the holy and beautiful lakes “MANASAROVER” - 4550m high, and which is 88 km far away from Taklakot to Manasarover, On the way, there is another lake called RAKAS Lake, we halt there for pictures. Then we carry on driving for Manasarover. As soon as we reach here, we do check- in at guest house and take some rest. After rest, lunch will be served. After lunch, we drive to Manasarovar kora with vehicle.
we initiate a journey to Kailash Kora and reach at Derapuk. (4920m)- Duration 5/6 Hours. We spend overnight at guest house. In the morning, after breakfast, we drive to Tarboche (Valley of God), pilgrims can hire personal horse and helper, if they require. Before we take on Kora, some formalities of the Tibetan government are initiated. Once the Kailash Kora begins, it takes 4-5 hours on foot to reach Derapuk, to the north face of holy Kailash.
Early in the morning, we have breakfast and set to walk lengthy, toughest up and down. We have the facility of packed lunch before we jolt the walk. Just a few hours of walking are required to Dolmala Pass (5613m), which is of the main destination of kailash kora. Reaching the top of the pass, we do some activities such as taking pictures and viewing the scene and take a walk down the hill, at some distance Gaurikunda is situated on the right, which is 200 meters down from our path. 2 hours of walking down, we will encounter flat trail on the way to Zuthulpuk- 22 km, duration 8-9 hours.
On this day, we start from Juthulpuk to Hilsa, and stay overnight at guest house. In the morning, after breakfast, we walk 2 hours at lease to get on vehicle, which takes us to Nepal boarder. We will have lunch at Darchen, and drive to Nepal-Tibet boarder. We do immigration procedure to exit Tibet, and walk to Hilsa in Nepal, and stay overnight there.
we fly from Hilsa to Simikot then to Nepalgunj and finally to Kathmandu. But, in Nepalgunj, some might not fly to Kathmandu, instead, they veer to Lucknow. Those who fly to Kathmandu stay overnight at the hotel.
finally, we make Departure, We drop you at Tribhuvan International Airport and bid farewell with a sound and safe journey.

• In Kathmandu & Nepaljung, we keep 3,4 & 5 stars depending on group size & requirements • Hotel stays will be on a sharing basis in Kathmandu • If someone stays single then supplement costs will applied • Tibet Side- accommodation will be in a Guest house in all places on a shared with a common bath • Note- Private bathrooms are there in some places, which depends on the subject’s availability
• Nepal Side: We will provide decent transportation by A/C Coach for Sightseeing tours. • Kathmandu to Kerung: Kathmandu to Kerung Non AC BUS until the road is properly constructed. • Tibet Side: AC Coach
• The Chinese visa is a group Visa that is paper-based. • First- we need your passport copies by email to apply for the Tibet Travel Permit (required by the Chinese government). • We will apply for a Tibet permit 01 months before the departure date. After that, we need your original passport for Group Visa processing: • Indian Nationality: You have to send your original passport 07 working days before the Fixed departure date • Foreign Nationals: We will need your original passport for 04 working days to obtain the visa. Since Saturday & Sunday won’t count as working days. • After you get a group Chinese Visa, we will hand over the passport individually at your hotel lobby. • Therefore, since it takes time, we suggest our Yatris book as early as possible, so that your Yatra can begin on your desired departure date. • If you already have a Chinese Visa: Chinese Embassy will cancel that existing visa & they will issue another visa as a group visa.
• Inner Parikrama means parikrama of Nandi Parvat and the outer parikrama means parikrama of Kailash Parvat. The regular Overland and Helicopter is only outer Parikrama which is easy to complete. However, Inner Parikrama is currently not open due to restrictions from Chinese Government.
• If you can not or do not want to go for Kailash Parikrama by foot then you can hire a horse and horseman paying extra (YUan 3,800 per person). This rate may vary during travel time, hence not a fixed rate. • Even you do hire a horse, you have to walk at least 2-3 hours • You can choose not to go for Parikrama at all, then you will stay back at Darchen. Our staff will be there preparing accommodation and meals during your stay.
• If you don’t want to do Parikrama we would provide you accommodation and food at Darchen base camp and you will have to wait until others return from Parikrama
• The cost is around Yuan 3800 which you have to pay yourself directly to the horse owner or the porter you are going to hire. The cost includes charges for Horse, Horseman and Porter.
• Since 2018, it won’t be easy to return back & leave the group. The Visa splitting is mostly not accepted by immigration unless someone is sick.
• No, Asthapad and Inner Parikrama is not included since it is not in operation due to restrictions from the Chinese Government.
Indian Rupees are not accepted in Tibet. You will have to take Chinese Yuan which can be exchanged in Nepal on arrival.
You have to take warm clothes like sweater, trousers, thermo-coat, monkey cap, trekking shoes, high-neck, gloves etc, shall also share other details in due course in coming days.
We provide a Waterproof Windcheater Jacket, a Duffel Bag, a Bag Pack, a Cap and a Passport Holder to every members as a souvenir gift from our company. You do not have to return these items after returning from Kailash.
No, the currency that is used in Tibet side is Chinese Yuan. For exchange of Chinese Yuan You can contact us on arrival on Kathmandu.
As the Kailash Mansarovar is at high altitude the climate is cold so it is recommended that you have warm clothes with you, thermo coat, monkey cap, comfort shoes, masks, walking sticks, sunscreen lotions, sun glasses are also recommended accessories for the trip.
Our group size is minimum 30-35 person for Helicopter and Overland tour. The group can reach 55 – 70 members in each group but can be more during Full moon trips.
Age limit is 69 years old for Indian Passport Holders as per the current rules and regulations. For Non-Indian Passport Holders there is no age limit till date. However, we do not recommend travelers above 80 years old to join for the trip
Nepali sim card doesn’t work at Tibet side but there will be shops at the phone center on the way to Kailash Yatra. You can take your mobile with you and buy a sim card there to call your family and relatives.
• Festivals in Tibet happen during Full Moon (especially Saga Dawa Full Moon Festival: the holiest day in Tibetan Buddhism) • Full-Moon in Mansarovar: Many Yatris prefer doing puja during the Full Moon (Purnima) • Many want to see the beautiful view of the full moon over Mount Kailash • Prefer doing Kora during Full-moon
• The food provided will be hygienic and pure vegetarian. • The local water will be provided for drinking water. You can also purchase mineral water bottles at the Tibet side.
• You have to be physically fit for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Getting a medical checkup before you plan to go for this religious journey is recommended. But it is not mandatory that you have to submit the medical checkup certificate. People with back pain may have problem during the trip on the jagged road. People with asthma or allergic to dust are strongly recommended to wear mask on the dusty road. Besides these people are recommended to practice walking and do exercise and yogas for the physical fitness.
